The Woodworking Co-op provides individualized and group programming for communities in Essex County. The only requirements are the desire to learn, grow, and challenge yourself. Through hands-on training and mentorship, we cultivate and empower the next generation of craftspeople and provide equitable access to vocational skills.

Great news! We recently took over 4,000sq ft in Newark, NJ. We’re currently in the middle of the 'dusty phase'—setting up the shop and getting the benches ready—ensuring the shop is safe, accessible, and ready to host students and makers of all skill levels. Stay tuned for "Work in Progress" updates as we build out the shop. We can’t wait to open the doors to the community!
